The upcoming series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins has been struck by disaster as six members of its famous cast have been forced to quit on medical grounds.

The Wanted singer Siva Kaneswaran, former footballer Jermaine Pennant and Paralympic cyclist Jon-Allan Butterworth had to pull out of the Channel 4 show after they fainted while filming in Thailand.

According to reports, the trio passed out as they walked in the tropical heat during a marching test with heavy bags on their back. A doctor ruled they were not to continue on the programme.

On top of that, Love Island’s Montana Brown dislocated her kneecap, and rugby star Gareth Thomas pulled his hamstring.

Meanwhile, former Towie star James Argent contracted trench foot and jungle rot, a serious condition that results from your feet being wet for too long.

‘They are celebrities, not soldier,’ an insider told The Sun. ‘They aren’t used to the hot, harsh conditions and being pushed to their limits.

‘The people who fell ill and were injured were not unfit or out of shape.

‘Siva, Jermaine and Jon-Allan are all fit blokes but all individually blacked out and had heat stroke.

‘James’s issues with his feet were awful too. He was in agony as the infection took hold because of the wet boots and he could suffer for months now.’

Filming for the Thailand edition of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is currently underway and is set to finish filming in just a couple of weeks’ time before airing on Channel 4 next year.

The current series, which was filmed in the heat of the Jordanian desert, has not been without injury either, with Pete Wicks forced to medically withdraw after he knocked himself unconscious and broke his ribs during a challenge.
