Big Brother bosses have reportedly set their sights on Vick Hope and Emily Atack to front the upcoming reboot.

In August this year, it was finally made official that the reality show was making a massive comeback in 2023 with a ‘brand new look’ on ITV2, after coming off the air on Channel 5 in 2018.

Since the news, there’s been a constant torrent of speculation regarding who will front the programme, with people including Maura Higgins, Davina McCall, Alison Hammond and Rylan Clark mentioned among fans as possible contenders.

And now former radio presenter Vick, I’m A Celebrity star Emily, and Capital FM frontman Roman Kemp have been thrown into the ring.

‘Emily and Vick have emerged as the favourites. A huge list was drawn up with a number of big-name stars on it, including [Davina McCall],’ a source shared.

Reports also claimed that Vick is a ‘great interview’ and has the potential to reach a ‘young audience.’

‘However, there is a feeling bringing in a fresh face would be good for the reboot,’ an insider added to The Sun.

An ITV spokesperson previously told Metro.co.uk: ‘All suggestions surrounding the host are pure speculation and absolutely no decisions have been made at this early stage.’

It was announced on Monday that casting for the highly-anticipated revival is officially underway.

Announcing the news, ITV wrote: ‘Big Brother is looking for the nation’s most interesting, funny and entertaining characters who come from every corner of the country.

‘The final cast of housemates will live under the watchful eye of Big
Brother, and the nation, for up to six weeks with cameras capturing their every move.

‘Over the course of the show, they’ll face a series of clever tasks, nail-biting nominations and live evictions, with the public once again playing a crucial role, voting throughout the series and ultimately determining the winner.’

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Emily Atack and Vick Hope’s reps for comment.

Big Brother returns next year on ITV2.
