David Schwimmer has joined a host of famous faces calling out Kanye West over his recent social media posts.

The Grammy-winner caused outrage after wearing a White Lives Matter T-shirt at Paris Fashion Week just days ago, before making comments about the Jewish community on social media.

His Instagram account was restricted for a post described as anti-semitic, after which he moved to Twitter and allegedly tweeted that he was going ‘death con 3 on Jewish people’.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Piers Morgan and Sarah Silverman are just some of the stars who have publicly condemned the 45-year-old’s words, with the Friends actor adding his voice to the situation.

Taking to his own Instagram page, David simply shared a picture reading ‘bye’ with his 6.7million followers, slamming Ye in the caption.

‘Anti-semitism is on the rise globally,’ he began. ‘Jews make up only 2.4% of the population of the United States but are the victims of more than 60% of all religious hate crimes.

‘Whether or not Kanye West is mentally ill, there’s no question he is a bigot. His hate speech calls for violence against Jews.

‘If you interpret his words any other way and defend him, guess what? You are racist.’

‘If we don’t call someone as influential as Kanye out for his divisive, ignorant and anti-semitic words then we are complicit,’ David added to the post, which has more than 230,000 likes at the time of writing, and has also been shared to his Instagram story.

‘Silence is complicity.’

Ye sparked a huge backlash over the weekend when he made a post on Instagram that has been described as anti-semitic, with bosses removing it and restricting him on the platform.

He then returned to Twitter, where he allegedly penned: ‘I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.

‘The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because Black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.’

The platform later took this down, with a notice reading: ‘This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules.’

Piers defended the decision for his accounts to be locked, insisting that it ‘isn’t an attack on free speech, it’s a justified suppression of vile, indefensible hate speech’.

Jamie also spoke of his comments during an appearance on the Today show, revealing that she was moved to tears.

‘I woke up and burst into tears,’ she said. ‘“DEFCON 3 on Jewish people?” What are you doing?

‘I mean, it’s bad enough that fascism is on the rise around the world. But on Twitter, on a portal, to pour that in? As if Jewish people haven’t had it hard enough?

‘It’s just abhorrent. It’s abhorrent behavior. I hope he gets help. I hope his children get help from him. It’s terrible.’
