I’m a bra expert and tried the SKIMS bras to see how they fit – the results were awful

KIM Kardashian has enjoyed huge success with her SKIMS shapewear range.

And she’s now hoping for similar results with her new line of bras.

Nicola Crook tried on the SKIMS bra and said it was the perfect example of how a bra shouldn’t fitTiktok/@nicolacrookonline

There was also a huge amount of give on the band, which meant that the bra was entirely unsupportiveTiktok/@nicolacrookonline

Nicola usually wears a 30F – the black bra above – but was advised to get a 34B in the SKIMS bra, which is what she orderedTiktok/@nicolacrookonline

But bra expert Nicola Crook decided to test out the new bras to see whether or not they were any good, and documented her review in a video on her TikTok page.

“So SKIMS have brought out a new bra range and we’re going to see how it fits,” she began.

“My ribcage measurement is 29, the fullest part of my bust is 35, and before you ask, no this is not a padded bra.

“So when I do the maths I should be a 30F, which is what I’ve got on at the moment, UK, or a 30G US.”

However, when Nicola entered her measurements on the SKIMS bra calculator, it told her that she should be a 34B, which is what she ordered.

“Where do we start with this one?” she said as she modelled the nude bra with moulded cups.

“The band, as you can see, is way too big.

“There’s so much room between the chest wall and this bra that I can get a pen down the centre.

“I have it on the loosest because that’s ideally where you should always start with your bra.

“And look how much give there is in that band.

“In fact, there’s so much give in that band that it’s offering you no support whatsoever.

“This is an example of how a bra should not fit.”

She then put her black bra in her usual size – a 30F – back on, as she said: “This is an example of how a bra should fit.

“There’s no gap, the wires have got all the breast tissue encompassed, my wire stops on my chest wall.

“As you can see from the band there’s very little give, which is what you want, and it is on the loosest.”

Nicola concluded her video by suggesting that people who want to try the SKIMS bras should use a regular bra size calculator.

“Because I think that’s probably going to fit you better than using the SKIMS bra size calculator, which appears to have some teething issues,” she said.
