The Pogues star Shane MacGowan enjoyed a rare night out this week and he was in the best company with Kate Moss joining him for the evening.
It was a particularly special night for the Fairytale of New York singer as he was showcasing his artwork at an exhibition named The Eternal Buzz and the Crock of Gold.
Shane, 64, arrived at London’s Andipa art gallery on Tuesday evening and was clearly in good spirits and ready to mingle with his guests. Flanked by his wife, Victoria Mary Clarke and supermodel Kate, the trio posed for photos and shared laughs together.
At one point, Shane – who looked smart in a blue suit, white shirt and sunglasses – was seen smoking a vape and had a drink in-hand, although it’s not known if it was alcoholic.
The exhibition featured artwork from the musician’s 502-page limited edition monograph and includes a contribution from Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp, as well as unpublished lyrics, photographs and essays from Shane himself.
Prior to the event, the singer told guests: ‘Bring lots of money!’ with pieces of the abstract art on sale for between £5,000 and £32,000.

Shane’s journalist wife Victoria later shared a heartfelt message thanking their friends for supporting the exhibition.
She wrote: ‘Thank you, thank you, thank you all from the bottom of my heart ❤️ for coming to the @andipagallery for @shanemacgowanofficial s art exhibition!!!
‘I am completely knackered and overwhelmed by the support and the energy and enthusiasm and everything that happened, and by so much LOVE ❤️ from so many beautiful 🤩 wonderful people. So many old friends and treasured friends and loved ones.’
Victoria continued: ‘Thank you 🙏 to the gallery, Acoris is an absolutely awesome guy and @artywaldy for an impassioned and articulate speech against all odds.

‘Thank you so much @emmapiette.events for organising the event with panache and glamour and to the staff who were radiant and beautiful, especially Willow, thank you for all of the social media you work so hard!’
‘It’s been a wild wild night,’ the post concluded.
Shane, who attended the exhibition in a wheelchair, has faced several health issues in recent years and has a carer help him at his home in Dublin.
In 2016, he suffered a fall and broke his pelvis before later breaking his knee and tearing ligaments in another accident.
Victoria recently admitted her fears for his health, and told The Guardian in April: ‘I definitely want to help him to stay alive for as long as possible.’
When asked if she ever feels as though she doesn’t want to live, Victoria replied: ‘Yes, quite a lot of the time. But Shane never seems to want not to live. That’s what’s weird.’
