Ant and Dec have shared pictures of positive Covid tests after cancelling appearances at the National Television Awards 2022 and Britain’s Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician.
The duo have been struck down by the respiratory illness meaning they will be absent from the ceremony that takes place on Thursday and is hosted by Joel Dommett.
The I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! will also miss out on the BGT magician-focused special, with Stephen Mulhern instead taking over presenting duties.
On their Instagram stories, the Geordie friends posted pictures of two lateral flow tests, both with two lines indicating that they have caught the coronavirus.
They captioned the post: ‘Sadly, it’s true… We even get ill together!
‘After feeling unwell a few days ago we both tested and we’re positive for Covid…
‘We’re resting up at home and are so sorry we can’t be at the @officialntas… Best of luck everyone… and get well soon to anyone else in the same boat.’

At the NTAs, Ant and Dec had been nominated for the TV presenter award, which they have won for the past 20 years.
But they will have to fend off stiff competition from Alison Hammond, Bradley Walsh and Graham Norton for the prestigious gong.

Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha has also revealed she will be unable to make the starry event due to suspected Covid.
