Cuba Gooding Jr has avoided jail time in his sexual abuse case after pleading guilty to forcible touching.

The As Good As It Gets actor was accused of violating three different women in New York between 2018 and 2019, before pleading guilty to one allegation in April.

The 54-year-old also admitted to non-consensual physical contact with two other women, and faced many more accusations.

Earlier today, it was confirmed that his case was resolved after he complied with the terms of his plea arrangement.

According to AP, Prosecutor Coleen Balbert said that he had completed six months of alcohol and behavior modification counseling and kept a low profile.

This means that he was able replace his misdemeanor plea with a plea to a noncriminal harassment violation, and will not have a criminal record.

If he had violated the terms, he could have faced up to one year behind bars.

Gooding Jr was arrested in 2019 after accusations that he groped a woman’s breast in a bar.

He was charged a few months later in two additional cases as more women came forward with accusations of abuse.

Gooding Jr was accused of pinching a server’s buttocks after making a sexually suggestive remark to her at TAO Downtown and forcibly touching a woman inappropriately at the LAVO New York nightclub in 2018.

In April of this year, Gooding Jr pleaded guilty to one count of forcible touching, in relation to the incident at TAO.

He has always denied wrongdoing but apologized for making women feel ‘uncomfortable’.

New York Times reports that he told the court at the time: ‘I apologize for ever making anybody feel inappropriately touched.’
