England’s Lioness Jill Scott has reportedly signed up to be one of this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! campmates, rumoured to be following the likes of Mike Tindall and Loose Women’s Charlene White.

The 35-year-old midfielder, who soared to victory with the Lioness’ earlier this summer, announced her retirement from football shortly after.

During her stint in the Euros final, Scott sent viewers into hysterics (and lip readers into action) when she was caught on camera swearing at a rival player, with the clip quickly going viral.

‘Jill became an instant star following that memorable moment, with most Brits forgiving the minor outburst,’ a source revealed.

The insider continued to The Sun: ‘It was always rumoured that ITV wanted one of the team in the jungle and Jill is a natural choice.’

A spokesperson for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! told Metro.co.uk: ‘Any names suggested for I’m A Celebrity are just speculation.  We’ll announce the line up for the new series nearer transmission.’

Scott, who has 161 caps for England, featured in 10 major international tournaments during her career, including two Olympics for Team GB.

Scott announced her retirement on Twitter in August, not long after Lioness Ellen White did the same, with a post which read: ‘Right, we’re not crying. I promised myself. I’m retiring from football. And I’m leaving with a gold medal swinging from my neck.’

The rumours surrounding Scott signing up for bushtucker trials follow claims the jungle is set to host its first ever royal on the ITV show.

The husband of Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter Zara, Mike Tindall, is reportedly claimed to have signed up to what is shaping up to be one of the most exciting line-ups to date.

‘It’s a massive coup,’ an insider spilled.

‘Mike has had a box seat for some of the most important moments in royal history for generations.’

They added to The Sun: ‘He is sure to be discreet, but his sheer presence means this series will be an absolute must-watch.’

Should Mike be meeting Ant and Dec Down Under, he’s tipped to be joining the likes of Olivia Attwood, who would be the first ever Love Island star to appear on I’m A Celeb, Chris Moyles, Strictly snogger Seann Walsh and Culture Club icon Boy George.

Who is rumoured to be joining the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here 2022 line-up?

While no official names have yet been announced, the rumoured line-up so far includes:

England’s Lioness Jill Scott
Former English rugby player, and husband to Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter Zara, Mike Tindall
Loose Women’s Charlene White
Love Island’s Olivia Attwood
Seann Walsh
Celebrity Gogglebox star Babatunde Aleshe
Boy George (and he’s reportedly landed the show’s biggest ever paycheck)
