Tess Daly has been left in disbelief as her daughter, Phoebe, has celebrated her 18th birthday.

The Strictly Come Dancing host shares two daughters with presenter Vernon Kay – Phoebe, 18, and Amber 13.

Tess, 53, was unable to contain her excitement as she showered her eldest with love on her special day, but also couldn’t believe that she’s now all grown up.

Phoebe really is the spitting image of her mum, as seen in a gorgeous snap shared by Tess, showing the teen cuddling their family dog.

‘Where did the time go? Our little Phoebe is 18 today!’, Tess wrote alongside the sweet snap. ‘Wishing you the happiest birthday!’

She also shared on Instagram a throwback pic of the parents when Phoebe was born, with Tess cradling the newborn while she and Vernon beamed.

‘We are so proud of you and can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with you,’ She added in her caption. ‘Love you to the moon & back💫’.

Strictly pals and famous friends flocked to the comments to wish the new adult well on her birthday, with co-host Claudia Winkleman writing: ‘Happy happy happy birthday Phoebe ❤️’.

Speaking the minds of many, Anna Friel wrote: ‘She is beautiful. Many happy returns. Hope you all have lots of fun celebrating ❤️’.

Amanda Holden also hailed the pics ‘stunning’ while a follower was left in shock at how alike Phoebe and Tess are.

‘My goodness the expression ‘two peas in a pod’ comes to mind! Happy Birthday,’ they penned.

Tess is currently booked and busy with the latest series of the glitzy BBC dance show, with stars including Kym Marsh, Helen Skelton, Will Mellor, and Ellie Simmonds taking to the floor with a new routine each week.

The northern TV star has become as synonymous with the show as the glitter ball itself having hosted it since 2004, first with Sir Bruce Forsyth and now with Claudia.

In fact, the programme’s main presenter has actually only missed three episodes in her time.

You might recall in series two when she gave birth to her first daughter, so winner of the first series Natasha Kaplinsky took her place until she returned.

Hubby Vernon recently joked that Strictly has become the couple’s ‘third child,’ saying Tess loves the gig so much, she’ll host it until she’s 80.

Vernon told The Sun: ‘Strictly was probably one of the first shows to embrace two women as the main anchors of a huge Saturday night entertainment show.

‘We’ve seen Ant and Dec for decades double-heading a show and I don’t think two women had done that before on such a large scale. As far as prime time entertainment shows go, Claudia and Tess really broke the mould.’

On how Strictly has become a big part of their family’s life, he added: ‘Tess started the show in its infancy — its first ever series when it was just a wee baby.

‘Then we had our first baby and subsequently we had Amber, so we’ve grown up with it as like a family member. It sleeps for the majority of the year, but come August, when they start prepping outfits and talking about contestants, that’s when that baby comes alive.’

Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday and Sunday on BBC One.
