Molly-Mae Hague has admitted she thought she couldn’t have children as she didn’t fall pregnant despite having unprotected sex for three years.

The PrettyLittleThing creative director, 23, is expecting her first child with boyfriend Tommy Fury, also 23.

Molly and Tommy first met on the 2019 series of Love Island, where they instantly fell head-over-heels for each other and whose relationship has gone from strength to strength since.

The young couple are now preparing to welcome a baby girl together, with Molly teasing a ‘really unusual’ name that people will ‘either love or hate’.

In a Q&A with fans where she spoke about everything from her future baby’s name to whether the baby had been planned, Mollyanswered openly.

She explained that she had not been on contraception throughout her and Tommy’s relationship, partly due to suffering from endometriosis and not finding a contraceptive method that suited her body.

Another reason, however, was that she and Tommy were open to having children together ‘literally from day one of meeting each other.’

‘We were very comfortable with the idea of me not being on contraception and potentially having a baby because of that,’ she said on the video.

‘We were very comfortable and I was quite surprised it hadn’t happened sooner.’

Molly recalled she was ‘quite shocked’ when she found out she was pregnant as ‘I had convinced myself that I couldn’t have children because… we had been having unprotected sex for that whole time and it had never happened.’

She told followers that their baby ‘wasn’t specifically planned but she wasn’t not planned,’ adding a reminder that having unprotected sex can always lead to pregnancy.

The reality icon suffered from ‘excruciating’ endometriosis, previously describing period pains so bad ‘I literally can’t stand up, I’m in unbearable pain, I’ve had to take time off work.’

Endometriosis is a long-term condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb starts to grow in other places, such as the ovaries or the fallopian tubes. There is currently no cure, and many women struggle to be formally diagnosed.

It can affect some women’s fertility, which explains why Molly had worried she wouldn’t be able to have children – however she added later in the video that she was taking a pregnancy test around once a month to be sure.

Elsewhere in the Q&A, Molly spoke about baby names, revealing she has had her daughter’s name picked out since she herself was a little girl.

She explained it has ‘always been my dream baby girl name, and luckily when I met Tommy and I told him the name…he absolutely loved it too.’

Molly didn’t reveal the name but described it as ‘really, really unusual and different.’

‘I do not know anybody else with the name. I have not really seen any other girls with the name before, it’s like that different.’

Molly added that the public will probably ‘either love it or hate it,’ admitting: ‘It is super unusual, super different.

‘Nobody will guess it because it’s not even really a name.’

She clarified that it was ‘not made up, it’s totally not made up, but I can’t explain it, it’s just not a name that’s ever really been used before.’

The mum-to-be went on to say she had trawled through Intagra looking for people with this name and found ‘a few’ girls but it was still ‘very rare.’

‘You’re either gonna love it or you’re gonna hate it but we absolutely love it,
and we’re settled on it and it’s been settled since day one!’
