Thelma and Louise star Geena Davis expressed how ‘grateful’ she was about having children at the age of 40.
The 66-year-old actress, who’s best known for playing Thelma Dickinson opposite Susan Sarandon’s Louise Sawyer, is mother to Alizeh, 20, and twin sons Kian and Kaiis, 18.
During Wednesday’s Loose Women, the Oscar winner shared how grateful she was to be in her children’s lives
‘I picked up more from the way my parents modelled their behaviour,’ she told presenters Jane Moore, Brenda Edwards, Christine Lampard and Katie Piper.
‘I didn’t have a lot of self-esteem but I was really determined that my children would have self-esteem,’ she added.
Before her current relationship with Reza Jarrahy, Geena was married to Richard Emmolo from 1981 to 1984, Jurassic Park actor Jeff Goldblum from 1987 to 1991, and Renny Harlin from 1993 to 1998.

In an extract from Geena’s new autobiography, Dying of Politeness, she recalled a pretty steamy moment she shared with Brad Pitt (Jed) on the Thelma and Louise set, which resulted in him being self-conscious about a spot on his bum.
‘Brad, for his part, couldn’t have cared less about all the fuss over his looks,’ she wrote in the pages, via the Sun. ‘He was just embarrassed about a tiny little pimple on his butt that the make-up gal re-covered after each take.’
‘I was uncomfortable with the projected extent of skin I was being asked to show, so [director] Ridley Scott found himself interviewing a slew of body doubles who were more used to flashing the flesh than I was,’ she continued.

‘A line of them snaked through the lot where we were filming, right past my trailer door, and I couldn’t stand it any longer – I’d worked as a model, after all – so I told Ridley I’d do it.
‘I needn’t have worried. Ridley seemed much more concerned about how Brad looked than I did in that scene, making sure the lighting was just so, and even personally spraying Brad’s abs with Evian.’
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12: 30pm on ITV.
