While broadcasting live, a Twitch streamer caught the moment an elderly couple won $10,000 playing slot machines in a casino.
It’s not uncommon for a Twitch stream to catch more than was intended, whether it’s good, bad or just plain bizarre.
Not long ago a watermelon exploded all over variety streamer Meowko’s room and left her covered in bits, after she put way too many rubber bands around it. Another streamer was even caught fooling around with her boyfriend while broadcasting live.
On the other end of the spectrum, streamer Seum was caught completely off-guard when she and her family got evicted while she was playing Disney Dreamlight Valley.
This time, a Twitch streamer was minding his own business, broadcasting his slot machine rounds, when suddenly an elderly couple next to him managed to get an impressive win.
The couple didn’t even realise that they had won $10,000 (⁓£8,900), when another person, possibly a casino employee, was heard asking the husband whether he had some ID with him.
As the streamer, known as LasVegasVP, turned around and looked at their slot machine he confirmed to his viewers that the couple had managed to strike a huge win.
‘It’s $10,000! You guys didn’t know it was $10,000?’ LasVegasVP asked the couple, while they looked at him in disbelief.
He then proceeded to explain the multiplying system that’s used to calculate winnings, until the couple was convinced and the news of their win started sinking in.
‘Every credit is $5. You hit one thousand credits, which is $5,000. Then you’ve got a multiplier x2 times, so that’s $10,000,’ he said.
The elderly couple was heard screaming in excitement, and even shared a heartwarming hug, which caused everyone around them to go ‘Awww!’
After their cute moment, LasVegasVP congratulated them, and then started walking away to give the winners some privacy.

Though Twitch recently imposed a ban on streaming gambling content such as slots, roulette, and dice games, LasVegasVP’s video hasn’t been taken down.
This is due to the rule only applying to websites that aren’t licensed in the US or other jurisdictions that provide ‘sufficient customer protection’ – which luckily isn’t the case for LasVegasVP as he was streaming from an IRL casino.
Streaming while on location could be a good idea for other gambling streamers, as if they’re not the lucky ones, they can always look around for other big winners… or sore losers.
