After admitting she’s in a toxic marriage, Amouranth has now decided to take an indefinite break from Twitch.
Shocking information about Amouranth’s personal life has come to light in the last few days, as the streamer revealed she’s been married for some time and is not in fact single. She also claimed that her relationship has turned toxic, with her husband allegedly controlling her finances and the content of her videos.
To make the situation known publicly, Amouranth went live on Twitch looking very distraught, something that was seen as a ‘cry for help’ by many of her fans and friends. The online star ended up having an intense phone call with her husband during her broadcast, which only seemed to make things worse.
In a follow-up video, Amouranth said that she had split from her husband, had regained control over her accounts, and is seeking legal and emotional counsel. She also broke ties with her content lead of eight years, after implying that he was turning a blind eye to the situation.
Now, after she has had some time to clear her head, the Twitch star has announced that she’s taking a break from streaming, which comes as no surprise given what she’s been through.
Many fans even urged her to do so, after hearing about the situation with her husband – sending her support and words of encouragement.
In a simple message on Twitter, Amouranth, aka Kaitlyn Siragusa, wrote that she’s not sure when she’ll be back. Fellow streamer Valkyrae, who’s been very vocal about her support for Amouranth, was one of many that responded to her post, writing ‘take all the time you need,’ as well as a heart.
Besides seeking help to heal from her toxic relationship, Amouranth will also likely use her break to figure out the future of her content.
In a previous stream, she joked that she’s looking forward to ‘wearing clothes’ on stream ‘from now on,’ implying that her husband pressured her to appear in more revealing outfits.
The streamer also claimed that it was he who wanted to keep the marriage a private affair, as more fans would find Amouranth’s content appealing if she appeared to be single.

Plenty of fellow streamers filmed videos, reacting to the news in a bid to show their support for Amouranth.
Top streamer xQc was one of them, but his stream took an unexpected turn when his chat was flooded with trolls claiming that Amouranth was faking her toxic marriage.
After reading these comments, xQc lost his temper and cussed out the chatters, even permanently blocking some accounts from ever viewing his streams again.
Amouranth’s situation has been a shocking glimpse into the life of big name streamers, and stirred up conversations around domestic abuse and victim blaming.
Since the star has confirmed she’s safe and taking steps towards healing, hopefully, a much-needed break will enable her to move forward and enjoy some free time with her beloved animals.
