Romance is in the air as hit reality show Love Is Blind returns to Netflix.
The pods are open as a fresh batch of singletons look for love in season three.
The hit programme – which first aired in 2020 – follows a group of singles who get to know each other without seeing each other, and only meet face to face after they decide to get married.
And after that, they jet off on honeymoons before moving in together, with their weddings taking place weeks later in what can only be described as a whirlwind romance.
This season looks to be one of the most explosive yet, with the trailer teasing plenty of chaos.
But how much do contestants get paid for taking part? It may be more than you think.
Are Love Is Blind contestants paid?
If you’ve been wondering how much contestants on the reality show are paid, all has been revealed by a former participant.

Mortgage director Jeremy Hartwell, who took part in series two of the show, filed a lawsuit against Netflix and the show’s producers claiming the working conditions of the series were ‘inhumane’.
Part of the lawsuit, reported by People, detailed how much contestants were paid.
Those who appear on the show are reportedly paid £885 per week or up to £7,080 for the length of the show, depending on how long they take part.
His lawsuit accuses the three companies of depriving the cast of the basic essentials, including restricting access to food and drink.

‘Even at the hotel living quarters, food was restricted to the point of severe hunger,’ the lawsuit reads.
‘Defendants, having knowledge of the fact that Cast member at times would be starving, instructed the hotel staff to not provide food to any Cast member that asked them for food because of hunger, in a clear effort to ensure that the Cast would continue to be deprived of food outside of the presence of the production team.’
The lawsuit also claims contestants were encouraged to consume alcohol
Production house Kinetic Content released a statement to Variety addressing the claims.

‘Mr Hartwell’s involvement in Season two of Love Is Blind lasted less than one week,’ they wrote.
‘Unfortunately, for Mr Hartwell, his journey ended early after he failed to develop a significant connection with any other participant.
‘While we will not speculate as to his motives for filing the lawsuit, there is absolutely no merit to Mr. Hartwell’s allegations, and we will vigorously defend against his claims.’
Love Is Blind is available to stream now on Netflix.
