Eurovision has confirmed the 37 countries set to take part in the 2023 competition in Liverpool.

After it was announced earlier this month that the beloved northern city will host the 67th contest, organisers have revealed the participating countries and their broadcasters.

It follows the news that Montenegro has joined North Macedonia in pulling out of Eurovision due to financial costs.

Here’s everything you need to know about which countries will perform.

Where in Liverpool is the Eurovision Song Contest being held?

The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place at the Liverpool Arena, and broadcast live for those watching at home.

The Liverpool Arena, also known as M&S Bank Arena, is part of Exhibition Centre Liverpool and is located in central Liverpool, next to River Mersey.

The capacity of Liverpool Arena, which opened in 2008, is 11,000.

Eurovision is being held in the UK after this year’s winner, Ukraine, was deemed unable to host due to the Russian invasion.

Liverpool, which is twinned with the Ukrainian city of Odesa, faced Glasgow in the final run-off after a list of 20 candidates was whittled down by the BBC and European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which produces the annual event.

What dates is Eurovision 2023?

The international music show will take place at the Liverpool Arena, culminating in the grand final on Saturday, May 13.

For the first time, the two semi-finals on Tuesday May 9 and Thursday May 11 will also be show on BBC One as well as the iPlayer.
