Kanye West storms out of heated interview with Piers Morgan: ‘You’re being a Karen’-Ruth Lawes-Entertainment – Metro

Kanye West branded Piers Morgan a ‘Karen’ and walked out at one point during an explosive interview on TalkTV.

The Stronger hitmaker and the veteran broadcaster sit down for a two-hour-long chat on Friday’s episode of Uncensored in which no topics, including Kim Kardashian and the ‘White Lives Matter’ stunt, are off limits.

In clips from the heated exchange that have been teased on the chat show, which has struggled with ratings, the Yeezy founder and Piers lock horns on several occasions.

The journalist, who previously presented GMB, grilled West about his anti-semitic tweet, which resulted in the rapper being locked out of Twitter and having his Instagram restricted.

After talking at length about the comment and being ripped off in business dealings, Kanye was challenged by Piers repeatedly about his use of language, following which he declared abruptly: ‘Interview adjourned. Love you,’ before walking off.

However, after a few minutes of discussion, he eventually sat back down to continue the interview and apologised for causing upset after the tweet.

He said: ‘I feel like I caused hurt and confusion and I’m sorry for the families that had nothing to do with the trauma that I had been through. Hurt people hurt people – and I was hurt.’

In an earlier clash with Piers, he told the presenter ‘you can’t cancel me’ as well as branding him a ‘Karen’.

Kanye also opened up about his ex-wife Kim, with who he shares four children North, Saint, Psalm and Chicago.

Piers asked the God’s Plan performer: ‘Are you sad that you’re no longer together and that you’re divorced?’

He confessed: ‘We’ll always be together… Yeah, there’s no person that you’ll ever get with that will influence her more than God and then her priest on Earth, which was me…’

Asked if he still loves her, Kanye replied: ‘Absolutely, and I will love her for life, and oddly enough I will protect her.’

Kanye is also being sued by the family of George Floyd for $250million after he said on the podcast the police brutality victim was killed by the drug fentanyl and that the police officer’s knee ‘wasn’t even on his neck like that’.

Floyd was murdered during an arrest when Derek Chauvin, one of four police officers who arrived on the scene of a suspected burglary, knelt on his neck and back for nine minutes and 29 seconds.
