Love Is Blind fans can’t get over Andrew Liu using eye drops for ‘fake tears’ after Nancy Rodriguez rejection: ‘This man thought he was doing something’-Rishma Dosani-Entertainment – Metro

Love Is Blind season three has come back with a bang, with the first batch of episodes containing proposals, budding romances, rejections and some possibly fake tears.

The iconic Netflix series follows a new cast of singletons as they head into the infamous pods in the hope of building a connection with a stranger, without ever seeing their physical appearance.

By the end, some decide they’ve met their soulmate – and pop the question before knowing what they look like – and we see them attempting to grow their budding romances before walking down the altar.

The new batch of episodes premiered this week and introduced us to Andrew Liu, who built a budding connection with co-star Nancy Rodriguez, before she sadly rejected his proposal in favor of Bartise Bowden at the very beginning of episode three.

Shortly after he was turned down, the 30-year-old sat down for a confessional interview with producers, and was asked what he was thinking about.

However, viewers watching on from home were left baffled by his reaction to the interview.

After clarifying that cameras were rolling, Andrew took eye drops from his pocket and began squirting moisture into his eyes, before stating: ‘It’s just too much. Just a little bit.

‘It didn’t feel good, to be completely honest. I guess I feel satisfied that I went for it. It’s just… It hurts.’

‘I guess this is a good moment for that,’ the contestant said, while reaching for his eye drops once more.

‘Is it okay that I’m doing this?’ he questioned, to which a producer out of the shot replied: ‘If your eyes are hurting you, by all means.’

Following another dose, and a tight squeeze of his eyes for good measure, Andrew added: ‘I never thought I could care for someone that would bring me to tears.’

Naturally, fans had some thoughts about the scenes, and flocked to social media to discuss the bizarre moment, with many commending the program editors for including the footage.

‘Did Andrew just fake tears on camera? I’m screaminng! He was ready for the wave of women wanting to heal his broken heart after this aired,’ one commented.

‘He just KNEW in his heart that production would edit this moment into a tender one. Congrats you played yourself #loveisblind. The mess [sic].’

‘It’s so petty that the producers included the footage of Andrew putting eye drops so he could look sad,’ a follower wrote.

‘I’m so here for it!!! #LoveIsBlind3 #LoveIsBlind #loveisblurry.’

‘Did Andrew really put eye drops in his eyes to make it seem like he was crying? BYE #Loveisblind #loveisblindnetflix,’ another joked.

‘I’m so so confused, was Andrew using eyedrops bc his eyes hurt or was he trying to look like he’s crying? LMFAO PLS NO #LoveIsBlind,’ a Twitter user questioned.

As a viewer praised: ‘Thank you to Netflix & Love Is Blind for leaving in the footage of Andrew faking tears with eye drops.

‘This man thought he was doing something with that bottle of Crysine. #LoveIsBlind #LoveIsBlind3.’

Andrew had been building a connection with Nancy when he got down on one knee, hoping to take their relationship out of the pods.

Unfortunately, she didn’t feel the same and decided to cut their time short, insisting that it ‘didn’t feel right’ to accept his proposal.

‘When I think of what our life could be, the life that we could have together, it’s a great life,’ she told him. ‘I don’t doubt that we wouldn’t live a good life. A great life. But just not forever.

‘I just want to thank you for being so kind. But in the real world, I’m looking for something else.’

Following this, he appeared to wipe tears as sad music played over the top of the footage.

She added to the camera: ‘Andrew is too cool, too calm, too collected. It’s not what I envisioned my husband to be.’

Nancy may change her mind on some of those comments when she watches the show back…
