House Of The Dragon fans have one major question on their lips as they prepare themselves for the season 1 finale: Will there be a second season?
Episode 10, titled The Black Queen, is set to air overnight in the US, and looks like it won’t disappoint.
The trailer for the hotly anticipated instalment has confirmed Princess Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) will be back on television screens after being absent from The Green Council.
And we’re also bracing ourselves for the Dance of The Dragons, the war between the Greens and the Blacks.
But once the episode is over, will there be more on the horizon?
Will there be a season 2 of House of the Dragon?
House Of The Dragon fans will be delighted to know that the HBO drama will be returning for season 2.
Bosses confirmed in August that the gripping series had been renewed, just days after the first ever episode had debuted.
In a message shared on Twitter, the official account wrote: ‘Fire reigns. House of the Dragon has been renewed for Season 2.’
House Of The Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal has already teased what viewers can anticipate in the new set of episodes, explaining that the narrative of the first instalment was slowed down on purpose.
‘We will get to the spectacle,’ he said. ‘But you have to understand these people’s complexities before they’re thrown into war.

‘Series two will hit the rhythms people came to expect from the middle run of Game of Thrones, but it will have been earned, and viewers will feel the tragedies because we put the work in.’
Condal added to The Times that there will be more lighter moments too in season two, when the writers introduce ‘natural pathways into moments of levity’.
We can’t wait.
House Of The Dragon season 1 is available to stream on HBO and NOW.
