I’m plus-size & did an Asoph haul in a 3XL – the clothes looked better on me than on the model, but a dress was sheer

A PLUS-SIZED influencer shared a clothing haul that pleasantly surprised her, with the exception of one item.

Daquana White, a fashion influencer based in North Carolina, shared the TikTok with her 380k followers to demonstrate how different items can look online versus on a non-model’s body.

“Some things are much better in person,” she said.

She ordered all her items in a size 3XL.

The first item she purchased was a ruffle trim, high-low shirt dress ($43).

“I love it as a top, it’s very very lightweight, it’s sheer, and really really cute,” she said.

Next, she went for faux leather pants ($26) paired with a high neck fitted long sleeve ($10).

“I was scared about the pants because they are faux leather, but they had a lot of stretch, contrary to the website saying it was a moderate stretch,” she explained.

Next, she tried on a two-piece: a multi-dimensional, pink wrap skirt, paired with a silky, orange wrap top ($39).

“I didn’t know if I would like it, but when I put it on, I fell in love.

“The material is slinky, love the bold, bright colors because we tend to lean towards dark colors in the fall,” she said.

Next up was a bright pink, popcorn knit top and midi skirt set ($35) that she quickly became enamored with.

“Color is so pretty, y’all could see the pop of sesame.

“I love this one so so much, and the stretch is really good,” she said.

Next came a bright, asymmetrical red top ($31) that she was unsure about, but once again was surprised by how incredible it looked on.

“I didn’t know how to feel about it but then when I put it on it was drama, it’s a statement piece, it’s bold, it’s giving Christmas party.”

Speaking of party, the next glittery two-piece ($43) she chose specifically for the New Year’s vibes it was giving off.

“I love the length, I love that the back is black, however, I would put on a legging because it’s a little sheer,” she said.

She says one of the biggest surprises in the haul was the asymmetrical red top, which was a stunning statement pieceTikTok/thedaquanawhite

Another surprise was an abstract print cut-out setTikTok/thedaquanawhite

A piece that she had low expectations for was a corset effect flare mini dress ($46), which she expected to be boring.

“But then I put it on and it’s really cute, does have a slight buckle in the front, but that lace detailing in the back is so cute and I love this color,” she said.

Another piece she had few hopes for was an abstract print, cut-out jumpsuit ($43), however, it also surprised her.

“It’s vivid in color, it’s completely mesh so very sheer, I would recommend black underneath.

She also adored a beige, corset dress with lace detailing on the backTikTok/thedaquanawhite

She also demonstrated that the top could be altered and worn in different ways depending on how you wanted to style it.

Her followers were blown away at the difference in how the items looked on the site, versus on her person.

“I wouldn’t have been sold on them on the site but on you!! You had the vision and execution,” said one commenter.
