Gok Wan has repeatedly turned down invitations to appear on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! because he doesn’t think he’s interesting enough – and we’re completely devastated.

Whispers are well underway over which famous faces have signed up for the forthcoming series, which will mark its return to Australia for the first time in two years after being moved to Wales during the pandemic.

Wan has been on our television screens for almost two decades, with How To Look Good Naked first arriving in 2006. He’s a regular face on This Morning and has fronted a whole array of cooking shows and fashion segments.

Naturally, one would have thought a stint in the I’m A Celebrity would be on the cards for Wan, but it’s not something he’s too keen on despite ITV’s persistence.

‘They’ve asked quite a few times,’ Wan exclusively tells Metro.co.uk.

Opening up on why declined their invitation time and time again, he explains: ‘I’m genuinely quite a shy person. I’m very confident when I’m in a situation where I know what I’m talking about, I work very hard in knowing my stuff, but I don’t think I’m interesting enough to be on I’m A Celebrity.

‘They always have an incredible cast who’ve had brilliant careers and I could sit there talking about hemlines and waistbelts.’

As for the likes of Strictly Come Dancing or any other reality show for that matter, it’s probably best not to get your hopes up. ‘I can’t sing, I can’t dance, I can’t act,’ he declares.

‘If there was one that came up that was purely about costumes, I could do that one.’

Speaking of costumes, M&M’S is offering the exclusive chance to be made over by Wan himself to ensure you’re Halloween party and trick or treating ready.

Halloween is set to be another huge celebration up and down the country, but research by OnePoll has found that over a third of people feel pressured to impress with their costume.

Luckily, M&M’s enlisted the help of celebrity stylist Wan to offer free Halloween makeovers in M&M’S World, London on October 31.

‘It’s lovely to do something that is unadulterated fun and joyful,’ Wan enthuses. ‘There are few times in our lives that we as adults get to be children again. Halloween is one of them, Christmas is one of them and our birthdays too.

‘People genuinely do get scared and panic about what they’re going to wear for Halloween. They worry whether their costume will be good enough. I think it takes a certain amount of confidence, which is where I come in.’

Wan promises he’ll be going ‘all out’ with the costumes too, and explaining what will happen on the day, he says lucky winners will ‘get to choose what they want to be and then they will get their make-up done and costume on’.

‘We’ll take photos of them, so they’ve got a great Halloween shot for their social media which is fab,’ he adds.

‘They’ll be given props and they’ll be treated to some M&Ms chocolate, which is very, very good. I’ll be on hand to deliver all the hot Halloween tips and having a laugh with them and to just have loads of fun.’

Sounds like an absolute treat if you ask us.

Customers are encouraged to book a slot via Design My Night. M&M’s can be personalised with a name or a picture at mms.com.

I’m A Celebrity returns on November 6 to ITV.
