I paid $80 for a bodysuit from Kim Kardashian’s Skims – it showed off my bra but that wasn’t the worst thing

A WOMAN purchased Skims products for the first time and was very unimpressed by one of the pieces.

Content creator Emma Jeanae did a Skims try-on haul and found major fit, cut, and fabric issues with a popular bodysuit.

To start her TikTok video, she wrote that it would be a “brutally honest” review.

“If you’re thinking of ordering from Skims, or if you’re thinking of ordering any of the items I’m showing you, I would have wanted to see this same video,” Emma said before giving her advice.

First, she wore a near-black long-sleeve bodysuit under a pair of jeans.

The Skims Essential Long Sleeve Scoop Neckline Bodysuit retails for $78. Emma purchased the size XXS/XS in either the colors Soot or Onyx.

I tried the Skims bodysuit – I’m small & expected a snug fit but the reality was worse

“It looks kind of cute on me right now, but I’m gonna be returning this and I’m gonna tell you why,” she said.

“It’s really flattering but it was $80, and I think I could get a nicer bodysuit at Madewell or maybe even on Amazon,” she added, covering her mouth with her hand, shocked by what she admitted.

Beyond the price, Emma found issues with the cut of the wide neckline. It stretched and nearly reached her shoulders, revealing her bra straps.

“I have a regular Aerie T-shirt bra on right now, but you can see it’s kind of peeking [out], and I just hate that,” she said.

Emma explained her concern over which type of bra style she could wear under the bodysuit. She also thought sticky boobs wouldn’t work with the material, which brought her to her next point.

“Like the material itself is fine, but it’s kinda spandex-y, which I’m not crazy about.

“I think it could be softer for $80,” she added.

But Emma found the biggest issue with the manufacturing of the product. She recorded a close-up view of the neckline.

“Do you see that?” she asked while pointing out the frayed fabric along the raw edges.

“It’s literally like a pair of scissors cut it and they just sent it out,” she said, adding: “Everything else is hemmed, it’s just the neckline isn’t hemmed.”

Without any seams to smooth out the neckline, Emma declared: “It looks so cheap for $80.”

When she showed the hemmed wrist openings, she also said that the bunched-up sleeves were too long for her.

Emma continued her Skims haul, relatively enjoying two tank tops. But then she came back to the bodysuit for a final verdict.

“The bodysuit is an absolutely not,” she said as she showed more rough edges and loose threads on the inner seams and around the gusset snap closure.

“It’s just overall really cheaply made, so I’ll be getting a different bodysuit,” she concluded.

Someone agreeably commented: “I wish I would’ve seen your review before I bought!! The shapewear I tried was oh so awful and the bodysuit I got does not stay snapped anymore.”
