It looks like Hollyoaks’ Owen Warner is set to endure some gruesome Bushtucker trials in this year’s  I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.

The 23-year-old actor, who plays Romeo Nightingale in the Channel 4 soap, touched down in Brisbane airport on Wednesday wearing a white cap, a black T-shirt, grey jogger shorts and black crocs completing the chilled look.

Owen is set to be joining the likes of Love Island’s Olivia Attwood andTV personality Chris Moyles, who were also recently pictured Down Under.

Discussing his upcoming stint, he said: ‘I’m scared of all sorts of things to be fair. Snakes aren’t a bit of me, I don’t know why I have come to Australia! Snakes and spiders everywhere here.’

‘My mum is the one who is going to be the one missing me. I am single and ready for the jungle. I am always looking for romance but I am not going in especially for that,’ he added to The Mirror.

The annual survival series won’t premiere until November, but the stars entering the jungle have been making their way to Australia early so that they can remain in isolation.
