Rihanna’s long-awaited musical comeback could be happening this week, according to a teaser from Marvel Studios.
Marvel Studios had fans in a frenzy after posting a teaser for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s soundtrack, with the name of the movie fading out to isolate one of the ‘R’ letters as well as the date of October 28, 2022.
The clip was simply captioned: ‘#WakandaForever’.
It comes a week after rumours began that Rihanna has two songs on the soundtrack to the Black Panther sequel.
Fans were quick to conclude that the R in the video confirmed that they may finally get some new music from the Diamonds star, whose last album, Anti, was released in 2016.
New York Times columnist Kyle Buchanan also tweeted: ‘Rumours are flying and I can add to them: I’ve been hearing for weeks that Rihanna is recording the end-credits song for BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER.
‘How do you follow up a classic like ‘All the Stars’? By snagging Rihanna’s first big song in years. (sic)’
All of the Stars was recorded by Kendrick Lamar and SZA for the first Black Panther movie.
Following the teaser clip, fans were quick to share their excitement at the prospect of new music from Rih, tweeting: ‘RIHANNA OH MY GOD’ and ‘NEW RIHANNA LETS GOOOO’.
Others added: ‘We made it through the drought’ and ‘Judging by the rumors and comments, sounds like Rihanna will have a song on the BP album marking the first song she’s made in YEARS’.

Fans had spent years waiting for confirmation of new music after Rihanna continually teased projects which turned out not to be an album, but launches for her make-up and clothing lines.
Rihanna also recently teased that she would be the Super Bowl Halftime Show performer for 2023, taking place in Arizona, telling TMZ: ‘I’m nervous … but I’m excited.’
Jay-Z, whose entertainment agency Roc Nation helps produce the halftime show, added: Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn.
‘A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment.’
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released on November 11.
