Alison Hammond says people are in for an ‘absolute treat’ when Charlene White appears on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! as she and Judi Love send her their support.
ITV favourite Charlene was confirmed to be entering the jungle for the 2022 series this week as she was spotted landing in Australia along with the likes of Chris Moyles, Owen Warner and Olivia Attwood.
Now her fellow ITV presenter Alison promises audiences are in for something great – even though she admits she wasn’t even aware it was happening.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk at the Ethnicity Awards 2022, with whom Metro is partnering with for the prestigious event, Alison was shocked when she was asked about Charlene heading to Australia.
‘I didn’t even know that!’ she laughed.
‘She is gonna be amazing. She’s such a wonderful woman,’ adding that they were nominated in the same category on Thursday’s award show.

‘They’re all gonna love her, she’s just an absolute treat,’ Alison went on, before adding again: ‘I didn’t know she’d gone there!’
Judi, speaking to Metro.co.uk on the red carpet of the Ethnicity Awards, agreed Charlene is ‘so powerful’ and gave her own words of advice.
‘She’s got to go in there, put her head down and know the reasons why she’s in there. Take the time for herself, and just be that amazing person that we see and know.
‘I just want her to know that we’re all out here rooting for her,’ she added.

Asked who Charlene’s biggest competitor for the crown might be in the reality show, Alison didn’t start rivalries before the show has even started, instead insisting the presenter gets along with everyone.
‘She’s a people’s girl,’ she said.
‘I think she’s just going to be incredible on that show.’

Alison warned, however: ‘I’m not going to lie, it’s a hard show to do. You’re away from your family, she’s away from her kids.
‘But I think she’s gonna deal with it fine. I think she’ll be great.’
While ITV have yet to officially confirm the I’m A Celeb lineup, Charlene was the fifth celebrity landing in Brisbane this week, along with Lioness Jill Scott.
