The highly-anticipated Snatch Game episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 4 has arrived, with some queens delivering side-splitting laughs and others unfortunately missing the mark.

Tonight, Strictly Come Dancing stars Tess Daly and AJ Odudu joined RuPaul for the star-studded gameshow maxi challenge, while Spice Girl Mel B joined the panel for the runway as the extra special guest judge.

Cheddar Gorgeous and Jonbers Blonde were the undeniable standouts Snatch Game, stealing the show as Queen Elizabeth I and St Paddy respectively, with Dakota Schiffer’s Pete Burns also achieving some well-earned cackles from Ru.

Sadly, Le Fil’s Marie Kondo and Black Peppa’s Lil Nas X weren’t in the same league as the best of the bunch, with the pair landing in the bottom two despite wowing the judges with their stellar pink-themed runway looks.

Following a lip sync performance to Spice Girls’ classic 1998 tune Stop, Ru decided Le Fil would be the one to ‘sashay away’, telling the performer: ‘Le Fil, my queen. You are all killer and no Le Filler. Now, Sashay Away.’

Le Fil, 36, responded by saying: ‘Thank you so much for having me on this. It’s been an amazing opportunity and thank you for showing an androgynous femboy from Brighouse can be in the world of drag. Thank you.’

They added that while they were feeling ‘so sad to have left the competition’, they were also ‘so thrilled with everything I’ve achieved’.

‘I’ve loved celebrating both my authenticity but also my creations and I’ve loved meeting all my sisters. It’s been wonderful,’ they said.

In their goodbye message to the rest of the queens written in lipstick on the Werk Room mirror, Le Fil said: ‘Keep whipping that hair, smash those gender roles. Love le filosophical x.’

Before their elimination, Mel B told Le Fil in her feedback that while they ‘looked really elegant’ as Marie Kondo in the Snatch Game, she wanted them to ‘really nail the funniness too’.

While speaking privately with the judges, Scary Spice added: ‘I didn’t find her funny [in the Snatch Game]. But, the [runway] outfit for me was everything. That was great and one of my favourites. I just wish she did Posh Spice! Like a drunk, evil Posh… something like that!’

Following their elimination, Le Fil had an important message to share for any drag performers out there watching the series.

‘To all those drag Queens, drag kings, drag stars and drag beings of the world, I say just get stuck into it and make your art your life and sculpt it in a way that you want to see it,’ they said.

‘Make things happen and just get stuck in because everything only happens when you make an active decision to put yourself out into the world so get out there and live your best life!’

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK returns next Thursday at 9pm on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
