I ordered a faux leather top but something different came – people said it was ‘scary’ and looked like a car mat

A FASHION influencer purchased one thing, but received something completely different than what she expected. 

Lauren Wolfe ordered a pricey corset that she thought was faux leather, but she instead received a piece that people think looks like a cheap rubber car mat.

In an Instagram Reel, Lauren showed herself dangling what looked like a thin black rubber mat before holding it out.

“I just got this top. I thought it was faux leather but it’s latex,” she said.

The flat top was one rectangular piece of latex with zippers at the ends.

Lauren purchased this Libra Corset from the brand Miaou through the shopping site Revolve. The piece retails for $395.

“I don’t think I’m against it. Let’s try it on,” Lauren said, adding: “Hopefully this will snatch my whole waist.”

The video transitioned to Lauren trying on and partially wearing the skin-tight top. She was attempting to zipper up the back.

“Oh, no no! I’ve never been more scared putting on a top,” she squealed as the zipper wouldn’t budge more than halfway up her back.

“I can’t do it. Maybe I can pull this down,” she added.

Lauren pulled down the material from the front with her cleavage dangerously close to spilling out of the strapless neckline.

With more room, the tube-top style piece finally zipped up.

“This is literally stuck to my skin,” Lauren gasped.

But she seemed undeterred and decided to wear it and style it anyway.

After some back and forth on the pieces she wanted to wear with it, Lauren decided on a low-waisted micro miniskirt that left a sliver of her stomach exposed.

She also added a cropped leather jacket and chunky heels after she declared, “You know what? Life is short, wear the heels.”

Proud of her final look, Lauren captioned her post: “After this outfit suddenly I’m latex’s biggest fan.”

But her followers had much different reactions.

“That looks scary, but I’m also very intrigued..lol,” someone commented.

“I thought she was introducing some type of car mat product when the video started,” another wrote, which many people agreed with.
