I’m plus size & tried Kim Kardashian’s Skims dress & shapewear – I sweated so much trying it on & it wasn’t worth it

SHAPEWEAR is everywhere now, but those of us who have tried it, know just how uncomfortable it can be.

So one woman decided to see if it really made a difference.

Taking to TikTok, Lauren Talulah who is a 3XL decided to go into a Skims store and try out the viral dress and shapewear for herself after trying on dupes of the set.

“Come try that famous Skims dress on with me,” she said as she tried the dress on with and without the shapewear underneath.

Lauren tried on the viral dress in grey and added: “Realising that I actually need to get it into it, here’s me taking my rings off to take it seriously.”

She then twirled in front of the camera so that viewers could compare what it looks like without any shapewear underneath.

But the real struggle started when Lauren tried to get into the shapewear.

She added: “The next bit is a mental breakdown, I had to take a 15 minute break and the shop lady came in to ask if I was okay.

“Obviously, I wasn’t, honestly, it was like trying to get sausage meat into sausage skin,” she said about the shapewear.

She continued that she had sweat pouring from her head after getting into the shapewear.

Lauren asked people what they thought of the shapewear and dress and many said the shapewear wasn’t worth bothering with.

One wrote: “All that effort and you looked stunning in the dress without the body suit underneath tbh.”

Another person commented: “I don’t think it was worth it. Stunning either way.”
