A heroic teenager was left speechless after Lewis Capaldi dedicated a powerful performance to her at the Pride of Britain Awards 2022.
Lucy Montgomery, 15, saved the lives of her family friend Mathieu, 8, and her father when they drifted into dangerous water on holiday in France.

In recognition of her bravery, she was awarded the Teenage of Courage honour at the ceremony, hosted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo, and was also treated to a surprise from the Someone You Loved singer.
Before accepting the gong, a pre-recorded clip play of Lucy, who thought she had won a tour of the ITV studios, visiting the Jonathan Ross Show set.
But instead, Lewis, 26, was there waiting for her, handing her a gold envelope to tell her she had won the prestigious award.
