Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance at a Bon Iver concert in London on Wednesday night, much to the delight of fans.
The global superstar, fresh off the back of releasing her record-breaking new album Midnights, took to the stage at Wembley’s OVO Arena to perform her hit track from her 2020 album Folklore, Exile.
It marked the first time she, Bon Iver – real name Justin Vernon – and The National’s Aaron Dessner had performed the song together live in person.
Unsurprisingly, since then video recordings of their rendition have spread like wildfire across social media clocking up millions of views between them already.
The 32-year-old star made an unannounced arrival on stage after Vernon had already begun singing the track, with her appearance sparking a stunned cheer, which she acknowledged with a wave.
As they finished the song, Vernon proclaimed, ‘The most talented person in the world, Taylor Swift,’ to which she replied: ‘The most talented person in the world, Justin Vernon.’

Swift then added over the applause: ‘Also the most talented person in the world, Aaron Dessner!’
As Swift exited the stage, Vernon joked: ‘We don’t know what to do now.’
Comments on social media ranged from disbelieving to ecstatic, with fans describing the performance as ‘honestly epic’ and ‘pretty incredible’.
‘You shoulda seen the way all the bored girlfriends sprang to life when Bon Iver brought out Taylor Swift. Raised the dead,’ joked one audience member.
Chart-topper Swift is currently enjoying an excellent week, following the release of Midnights on Friday, with Spotify announcing less than 24 hours later that it had broken the streaming record on their platform.
Spotify tweeted: ‘And before the clock could even strike midnight on October 22nd, Taylor Swift broke the record for most-streamed album in a single day in Spotify history. Congratulations, @taylorswift13’.

Swift responded in a tweet: ‘How did I get this lucky, having you guys out here doing something this mind blowing?! Like what even just happened??!?!’
Midweek data from the Official Charts Company shows she is in with a chance of landing top spot on both the album and singles chart, with lead track Anti-Hero, while Lavender Blaze and Snow on the Beach sit in second and third spot, respectively.
