Last night’s episode of Call Me Kat paid tribute to star Leslie Jordan after he passed away this week.

The Emmy Award-winning actor and comedian, 67, died in Hollywood on Monday (October 24).

According to TMZ, he was driving in Hollywood when he reportedly suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel.

Law enforcement officials reportedly told the publication that he crashed his car into a building.

Jordan had completed work on nine episodes of Call Me Kat’s currently airing third series, with, the cast and crew of the comedy paying tribute to the star with a special montage of clips.

The 30-second video showed snippets of Jordan’s time on Fox series such as Call Me Kat, The Cool Kids, Fantasy Island, Lego Masters, and The Masked Singer.

The memorial ends with a touching message to the late star, reading ‘Forever a part of the Fox family.’

Mayim Bialik, who plays titular character Kat in the show, posted a statement on behalf of the cast, crew, and producers of the show addressing Jordan’s death.

‘There aren’t words to convey the loss we are experiencing as a cast and a Call Me Kat family,’ she posted to Instagram.

‘Leslie Jordan was larger than life. He was a Southern gentleman; tender, wise, naughty and hilarious.

‘We got to know and love him at the height of his happiness and joy and it is inconceivable to imagine a world without our Leslie: the man who would spit on his contact lenses before putting them in his eyes, the man who had a story about every man in Hollywood and some of the women as well, the man who lived to make people laugh.

‘We will be taking time to grieve and to celebrate the many gifts Leslie gave to us and to the entire world and we appreciate privacy at this time.’

According to TMZ, Jordan was on his way to the Call Me Kat set when he ‘died behind the wheel.’

A source also shared that the actor was scheduled to film on the US sitcom on Monday morning, and cast and crew were concerned when Jordan was more than an hour late.

After his breakout role as the witty Beverley Leslie in Will & Grace, Jordan went on to make special guest appearances on RuPaul’s Drag Race and Celebrity Big Brother UK while starring in American Horror Story.

Call Me Kat airs on Fox.
