Over the past six years Matty Fahd has been a couch critic on Googlebox Australia, but now his older brother Kris is in the spotlight too on Netflix’s new series Dubai Bling.

Since 2017, Matty, his wife Sarah-Marie and their friend Jad have been dishing out their opinions on what’s hitting the small screen, but now another Fahd family member is being followed by cameras.

Since moving to Dubai in 2008, Kris has become one of the most famous faces (or voices) in the country.

The radio host and DJ is one of the cashed-up residents of Dubai featured in the new Netflix series Dubai Bling, which was released on Thursday.

The Australian-Lebanese broadcaster, 42, is one of the 10 millionaires who are captured by cameras as they go about their everyday lives, even if they do seem totally out of touch at times.

We clearly can’t get enough of being given an insight into the lives of the rich and famous (think Selling Sunset, Bling Empire and any Real Housewives), and this series seems no different, with plenty of shopping sprees, extravagant parties and, of course, lots of private jets.

Refreshingly though, Kris is totally self-made.

After working as a barista, at a car wash and owning his own cleaning company, he later got into radio and when he was offered a show in Dubai, he was only initially meant to stay for two years.

But 14 years on, he is enjoying the perks that his job has afforded him.

The Kris Fade Show is now the number one listened to show in the region with over 1.3million listeners each week.

Kris has proved so popular he’s got a waxwork at Madame Tussauds in Dubai, and has a snack and vitamin brand, Fade Fit.

But it’s the spoils of his hard work that seems set to hook in audiences, who will get an insight into his life with wife Brianna and his two daughters.

Earlier this year the couple married at a lavish ceremony at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, and live-streamed the entire ceremony to his 308,000 Instagram followers.

The couple got engaged in 2019, when Fade proposed in Jordan, with a little help from Will Smith himself.

With a private jet, several luxury cars and designer clothing, Kris has become a fixture on the social set.

His ex-wife and the mother of his daughters, Marianne Argy El Obeidi, is also famous in her own right, boasting one million followers on Instagram.

‘This city has given me everything and allowing me to achieve my goals, and there’s more to come,’ Kris said in a promo for the show.

Dubai Bling is streaming on Netflix.
