Lewis Capaldi has issued a warning to his fans to be wary of scammers after tickets for his upcoming tour sold out in seconds.

The Scottish star, 26, will hit the road in 2023 for a long-awaited UK tour, with tickets going on sale this morning at 9am via Ticketmaster, The Ticket Factory, and See Tickets.

However, if you missed out, the chances of getting tickets at a later date might be slim, as the Before You Go hitmaker revealed they sold out ‘in a single second’ – now that’s what you call high demand!

Of course, a sold out tour means resale tickets, although Lewis is conscious of his beloved fans being ripped off.

Issuing a statement to his followers, the musician urged people to ‘be kind to each other’ as the battle to secure a seat at his now sold out shows.

Encouraging sellers not to sell tickets on for mega bucks, he wrote: ‘If you want to buy and re-sell please use Twickets and only do so at face value, be kind to each other.

‘I know some f***ers will try to sell for mad prices, there will be scammers out there as well. pls be safe and careful [sic].’

The Someone You Loved singer also reminded fans that, unfortunately, he won’t be adding any extra dates, despite him wishing he was able to perform everywhere.

‘I really wish I could but I’m just one small chubby human who has to try to get to see as many of you all over the world as possible,’ he penned.

‘Know there might be some of ya who miss out but pls don’t shout, know trying to get tickets to shows can be s***e sometimes as have been there so many times myself trying to get tickets to gigs I want to go to.’

Lewis reminded fans that there are ‘so many things’ that have to be ‘worked out’ in order for a tour to happen, meaning getting to see more people isn’t necessarily just a case of booking a larger venue.

He insisted he is ‘doing my best’ to get to as many people as possible across the world with his dates next year, adding that he is ‘buzzing’ to get out on tour again.

Lewis’ upcoming tour celebrates the release of his sophomore album, Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent, due May 19, 2023.

Having already given music fans a taster of what to expect with the lead single Forget Me, it’s actually no surprise tickets were so sought after, with the track soaring to number one in the charts.

The upcoming album is a follow-up to his 2019 release, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which featured hit singles Hold Me While You Wait and Grace.

As for the tour, Lewis will begin in Leeds on January 14 before heading to venues in Manchester, Glasgow, London, Birmingham, and many more cities across the UK.
