Mike Tindall has spoken out about getting approval from the Royal Family to appear on this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! after being ‘confirmed’ for the hit ITV show.
The former rugby pro and husband of Zara Tindall has been spotted in Brisbane, Australia, ahead of the show beginning on November 6.
He will be the first Royal Family member to appear on the hit ITV show.
Mike, 44, has remained tight-lipped on whether the Royal Family has approved of his appearance on the show.
He told Mirror.co.uk: ‘That’s not something I need to tell you,’ when landing at the airport in Brisbane.
However, he did speak about the strain of missing his family while being Down Under.

‘The family I will miss the most of course. This will probably be the longest time I have been away and then not having communication, that will be the hardest bit.’
He will reportedly receive a £150,000 pay cheque for his appearance on the show.
Tindall said Australia holds a special place in his heart, as it is where he met his wife Zara, 41, the granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
‘Australia is a special place yeah, I met Zara in Sydney. There is no holiday planned at the moment afterward,’ he told The Sun.

He also told the publication that his wife had been supportive of him signing up for the show.
‘I was always on the fence but I do think it will be good fun at the end of the day,’ he said.
‘That is the other thing, I like groups of people and I like things that can be good fun so let’s see. I might regret it.’
It isn’t the first time the Royal has appeared on a reality show after he has previously taken part in The Jump and Bear Grylls’ Mission Survive.
Hosts Ant and Dec have also been spotted (Picture: ITV / Shutterstock)
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have also been snapped landing in Australia, marking the first time the show returns to the country since 2019.
The show will see 10 celebrities make their way into the jungle on day one, with more expected to join as the series continues.
Other rumoured contestants include Love Island’s Olivia Attwood, former Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles, England’s Lioness Jill Scott, Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver, Celebrity Gogglebox star and comedian Babatunde Aleshe, and Loose Women presenter Charlene White among others.
Pop icon Boy George is reportedly heading to Australia for the upcoming series of I’m A Celeb.
The Karma Chameleon hitmaker is said to be the highest-paid camp mate ever with a deal worth $1million (£908m).
I’m A Celebrity 2022 begins on Sunday November 6 at 9pm on ITV.
