Take That are to headline the BST Hyde Park festival next summer – as if we weren’t excited enough for the line-up already.

Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen will reunite on Saturday July 1 for their only UK live date of the year.

They will be joined on the line-up by chart-topping Irish band The Script and the recently reformed classic line-up of Sugababes.

In a statement, the chart-topping pop group said: ‘We’re so excited to be back together and that BST Hyde Park will be the first stage we perform on in almost four years.’

The statement continued: ‘We have incredible memories of playing there in 2016 and we can’t wait to see everyone in July.’

Already announced as headliners for the 2023 edition of BST are singer Pink, 80s singer-songwriter Billy Joel, and Bruce Springsteen, along with his E Street Band.

K-pop group Blackpink will also be headlining the festival, which has been running since the summer of 2013, when Bon Jovi headlined with the Rolling Stones.

Next year’s shows will mark the 10th anniversary of the annual concert series in central London, which has also been headlined by Arcade Fire, Duran Duran, and Bruno Mars.

Take That, now a trio following the departure of Robbie Williams and Jason Orange, last released an album in 2017.

That album, Wonderland, was the group’s eighth in total – the band have released more albums since their reunion in 2006 than in their original 90s run.

Mark Owen recently told the PA News Agency the trio have discussed starting recording sessions for their ninth studio album at the start of 2023.

Take That will be headlining alongside the reformation of another pop trio, the Sugababes, who have reformed with their original 90s line-up.

The group have been performing under the name Mutya Keisha Siobhan, named after members Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhan Donaghy.

They re-adopted the name Sugababes in 2019 and announced their first tour in nine years earlier this year.

In 2022, BST Hyde Park’s headliners included Sir Elton John, The Rolling Stones (for a second time) and Adele.

Tickets will go on pre-sale November 1 and general sale on Thursday November 3 here.
