Joss Stone has confirmed her second baby has been born following a difficult labour, as she and partner Cody Daluz welcomed a son.
The singer, 35, took to Instagram with Cody, 31, and their 19-month-old daughter Violet to announce the arrival of their baby boy Shackleton Stoker Daluz, who was born on October 18 in Nashville, Tennessee.
She told her followers: ‘He’s finally here. Just wanted to say hi with our newest addition to the family Shackleton Stoker Daluz .
‘Born at 7:54 am on the 18th of October . What a joy to have him safe and sound in our arms. Thanks for hanging with us through the journey.’
Joss told her followers that Shackleton’s birth hadn’t gone to plan after he ended up bigger than expected at 9lb, with Cody labelling the birth a ’s**tshow’.
She explained: ‘I decided I wanted to have a natural birth… that didn’t happen! He was 9lb and 2oz, a slight bit bigger than the doctors had [expected].

‘I had labour for 30 hours – that’s a long time! And then it all went a bit t*ts up – actually I think it was 32 hours in the end, wasn’t it?
‘So he was born at 7.54am on the 18th and it was because my uterus split,’ as Cody added: ‘He split the uterus, I think.’
Joss added: ‘Basically he was a bit big, weren’t you? I’m in the one percent, apparently! Anyway, so the doctors and nurses at Vanderbilt saved my life and saved his life, they are amazing and we love you guys at Vanderbilt, thank you so much. So it all ended well and now we have our little man.’
Cody added: ‘I’m very grateful because I thought I was going to be a single dad, for about 20 minutes I thought I was going to be on my own with a couple of kids.’

He added: ‘It was scary but thank god for them, they brought them back to me.’
Joss also joked that she didn’t feel like she had given birth to their son as he was ‘extracted’ by the medical team instead of being pushed ‘through the old vajayjay’, but had bounced back ‘pretty quick’ after the traumatic birth.
Their little bundle of joy comes after Joss revealed she had suffered a miscarriage last year and cancelled her tour after announcing her pregnancy in April.

Joss also previously revealed that she had told Cody she wanted seven kids from the moment they met, admitting: ‘I’d like seven children!
‘I may only end up with two but I like to aim high. Aim high and you might get somewhere close enough.
‘I started most conversations in previous relationships for the last seven or eight years with, “Nice to meet you… I want seven kids,” and then I’d wait to see whether they laughed or ran!
‘Cody, though, he was like, “All I want is an adoptive Beagle and an adoptive baby.” I was like, “My God, I love you.” I knew he was the one. And I told him I wanted seven children and he didn’t run a mile.’
