SAS: Rogue Heroes is the exhilarating story of renegade men taking monumental risks in extraordinary circumstances.

The prime-time BBC drama follows how the world’s greatest Special Forces unit, the SAS, was formed under extraordinary circumstances in the darkest days of World War Two.

The British Army division was first founded as a regiment by Sir David Stirling in 1941 but was disbanded in October 1945 after the government saw no further use for it following VE Day.

However, it was swiftly reinstated after officials recognised the need for a deep-penetration commando unit and still exists today.

The exact operations of the SAS are strictly confidential, although it is involved in counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, direct action and covert reconnaissance.

Created by Steven Knight, aka the brains behind Peaky Blinders, the series stars Sex Education star Connor Swindells, House of the Dragon’s Tom Glynn-Carney, and The Crown’s Dominic West as the real-life people who formed the first SAS.
