If you were planning on buying resale tickets for Adele’s Las Vegas residency, well, you might have to dig into your savings pot.

The Easy On Me hitmaker, 34, left fans devastated in January when she cancelled her original residency due to the pandemic, admitting in a tearful announcement video that her show ‘wasn’t ready.’

But, at long last, the Grammy-winning star will take to the stage at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on November 18 to begin her Weekends With Adele residency, where she’ll perform until March 25, 2023.

Plenty of lucky fans have snapped up tickets to witness Adele’s powerful vocals and hilarious stage antics up close, but for those who missed out, it could cost a pretty penny to secure a spot in the venue.

In true Adele style, the shows have all sold out and when it comes to resale tickets, it’s never a surprise when they cost more than the originals but for this superstar, fans are selling tickets on for up to £40k ($46k) – no, that is not a typo.

On StubHub’s ticket exchange site, seats in the front section next to the stage are on sale for £38k, while others are selling tickets for an equally as eye-watering £22k and £19k.

‘Oh, but I just want nosebleed seats,’ we hear you say, well, those might not be cheap either…

Yes, some tickets in the upper sections are selling for over £2k, while the ‘cheapest,’ (a term we use loosely) will set you back £579, which was actually the most expensive ticket when they first went on sale through the official channels, while the back row seats were priced at £79.

Adele’s forthcoming shows have, understandably, been called the priciest residency to ever hit the Strip.

Brodie Cooper, of US PR firm PRrppd, told The Sunday People: ‘Websites would not charge those fees if people were not willing to pay those sums. Without a doubt, Adele’s ticket prices are by far the highest ever in the history of the Las Vegas strip.’

The price of the second-hand tickets marks a record for the Someone Like You hitmaker, with the cost of them said to have eclipsed the likes of previous Las Vegas residencies headed up by the likes of fellow industry legends like Celine Dion and Britney Spears.

News of the prices comes just days after the songstress was said to have ‘stripped back’ the designs for her residency in an effort to better ‘connect’ with the audience.

A source explained: ‘Adele has revised her plan for the show, has stripped it back. The production will be very classy, the show is centred on her energy and vocals.’

It’s thought that the January shows had room for a ‘significant orchestra’ and band along with a 60-piece choir.

‘The feel was big, grand and immensely theatrical. Now, she wants it to be more intimate and to connect to the audience by being in with them during the performance,’ the insider added.

‘Adele wants to make her mark with this show and be regarded as one of the greatest ever headliners in Sin City.’
