Birmingham dessert shop goes all out with Max Mayfield Stranger Things display so realistic police had to be called-Emily Bashforth-Entertainment – Metro

One lot of Stranger Things fans really went all out for Halloween this year, with a spooky display outside a dessert shop in Selly Oak, Birmingham.
The drama series has garnered a legion of fans since it first landed on Netflix in 2016, and it’s not uncommon for diehard viewers to dress up as their favourite characters during spooky season.
But, one person went a step further, by creating a dummy depicting Max Mayfield (played by Sadie Sink) from the hit show, which will definitely make passersby do a double take when they catch a glimpse.
The genius decoration represents the moment Max is battling with Vecna, moments before Kate Bush hit Running Up That Hill, quite literally, saved her life.
It’s a sight to behold, as the dummy’s costume is an exact replica of actress Sadie’s in the show, complete with denim jeans and a blue fleece, not to mention her red locks tied in a ponytail.
In fact, a spokesman for the shop said the display was so realistic that they even had a visit from West Midlands Police!

The headphone-wearing dummy has its back turned to the street as it defies gravity outside Ciao Bella Desserts, created in honour of their Halloween bash this year.
And the Max dummy – which has left motorists stunned – isn’t the only Stranger Things decoration in the store, as the Bristol Road eatery is hosting a whole event, encouraging locals who are crazy about the 80s-themed hit show to take photos with actors performing the roles of Eleven, Vecna, and the Demogorgon.
‘Following the success of last year’s Squid Games event, we have continued the fashion with another trending show and increased our budget,’ an owner told Birmingham Live, adding that they’re selling ‘Demogorgon milk chocolate cookie dough ‘ as part of the event.

‘This time, we have collaborated with talented local artists and actors to make this year bigger and better. Customers will enjoy our cookie dough and have fun at the same time.’
But this is far from the first time the dessert shop has gone big for Halloween as, last year, they hosted a Squid Games-themed event, complete with masked pink soldiers and edible treats desserts inspired by the cookie episode.
Season 5 of Stranger Things has been confirmed as the last (Picture: Netflix)
As for Stranger Things, season 5 will drop on the streaming service, but don’t worry, as there’s plenty of time for you to recover from the drama of season 4 first.
It’s thought that writers are hard at work with the forthcoming episodes, although a release date is yet to be revealed.

Considering the time it takes to film and the mega amount of post-production involved, we suspect Stranger Things will be back at some point in 2024.
Alas, the Duffer brothers have confirmed that season 5 will be the show’s last outing, but we have every faith it will go out with a bang.
Stranger Things is available to stream now on Netflix.
