Former Health Secretary Matt Hancock is rumoured to have signed up for this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! as a latecomer.
The line-up for the upcoming series boasts a number of huge names, including the likes of radio presenter Chris Moyles, royal Mike Tindall, and Love Island’s Olivia Atwood.
And now it’s been revealed that disgraced politician Mr Hancock, who resigned from his role after cheating on his wife during the pandemic, has been named the 12th star to go into the jungle.
According to insiders, he will come into the camp late along with comedian and former Strictly Come Dancing star Seann Walsh.
‘Matt is a sensational signing for the show as producers love a star with a story to tell – and they always hope they’ll spill the beans round the campfire,’ a TV source said.

‘He’s the latest in a long line of figures from the political sphere, including MP Nadine Dorries, Stanley Johnson and MP Lembit Opik.’
They added to The Sun: ‘There’s been a question mark over who the twelfth campmate would be, partly because negotiations over Matt going in were so top secret. It seems Matt was a last-minute signing.’
Mr Hancock resigned from his position of Health Secretary in June 2021 after breaking his own social distancing advice.
It came after footage revealed the married politician kissing fellow married aide Gina Coladangelo.
