Skywalker Week has kicked off in Fortnite, bringing three lightsabers to the game, but it’s up to you which side of the Force you’ll choose.

Fortnite’s v22.30 update finally added the OG trio from Star Wars – Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo – as playable characters, after months of speculation.

The villain of all villains, Darth Vader, has also returned to the island and if you manage to get through his Imperial Stormtroopers and defeat him, you’ll be able to unlock his iconic red lightsaber.

As you’re called to become Fortnite’s Chosen One, you must bring balance to the Force by also acquiring Luke’s lightsabers: the blue one from A New Hope and the green one from Return Of The Jedi.

On top of that, you’ll get the chance to pick up the E-11 Blaster Rifle, the primary weapon of Imperial Stormtroopers and as seen throughout the original trilogy.

Luke’s Lightsabers and the E-11 Blaster Rifle can both be found in Imperial Star Wars chests spread throughout the map, or if you’re lucky you’ll find them as floor loot.

Here’s where you can find Imperial Star Wars chests on the island:

You can also buy the E-11 Blaster Rifle for 100 Gold Bars, from none other than Stormtroopers at the following locations:

By getting over 2,000 damage with Star Wars weapons you’ll also unlock 20,000 XP, meaning there’s all the more reason to use your newly acquired lightsabers and blaster.

However, to collect Darth Vader’s lightsaber you’ll need to find him first and, naturally, try and get the high ground.

Lucky for you, he won’t be moving around the map much, as he’ll be waiting for you in the area southeast of Greasy Grove, near the chrome.

His Lambda-class shuttle ship will fly alongside the Battle Bus at the start of the match, ahead of making its way to the Greasy Grove woods.

When fighting Darth Vader, be careful not only of his lightsaber skills but also of his Force attacks, as you don’t want to end up being choked like Admiral Motti.

He can also jump you at any time, has a dual health bar, and can easily deflect your gunfire with his lightsaber.

To clear the quest, you’ll simply need to assist in defeating him, so as long as you strike at least one hit, then you can sit back and let others do the dirty work for you – though that wouldn’t be very Jedi-like.

However, if you want Darth Vader’s lightsaber you’ll need to put in the hard work, as you’ll need to stick around to pick it up as loot after he’s been eliminated.

The easiest way to defeat him is to drop directly at the Greasy Grove woods, loot any nearby Imperial chests to find the E-11 blaster and give him a taste of his Stormtrooper’s medicine.

You’ll only get a week to complete the Skywalker Week quests, as the themed special ends on Tuesday, November 8.
