Adele has casually dropped a massive bombshell, revealing we’ve all been saying her name wrong.
The Easy On Me singer has been a staple of the charts after the release of her first offering in 2007, and she has consistently kept us in our feelings ever since.
However, while promoting new song I Drink Wine, the 34-year-old briefly explained that her name has been mispronounced for years.
Yes, seriously.
She took part in a fan Q&A session in LA when ‘Annie from London’ appeared via videolink with a question.
‘On your journey to self-love while writing 30, did your perspective on how you saw yourself when you wrote 25 change at all, and how? Cheers babes, love ya,’ she said.

Adele was delighted by the submission from her former stomping grounds, and replied: ‘Where’s she from? Enfield or something? Love that!
‘She said my name perfectly!’
The musician then took the moment to offer everyone a lesson in how to her name, stating that it is ‘uh-del’, rather than ‘ah-del’.
The footage has predictably gone viral, with many questioning if they’ve spent the last decade getting two syllables totally wrong.
Piers Morgan couldn’t help but react to the clip, and suggested that Adele had trouble with the pronunciation as she’s from Tottenham.
‘No.. she just can’t pronounce it properly because she’s from Tottenham,’ he joked.
Aside from moniker mishaps, Adele also shed light on her upcoming career, and poured ice cold water on suggestions that she will be heading to Broadway to cement her EGOT status.
An EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award) is seen as one of the most coveted statuses a performer can achieve, with only 17 people having ever achieved all four accolades.

She recently bumped herself up to an EGO after adding an Emmy to her collection, and only needs a Tony to claim all four.
However, the Hello star admitted that she’s too lazy’ to commit to a Broadway stint anytime soon.
‘I don’t think I’ve seen enough [Broadway] as a grownup to know if I would want to do it,’ she told the crowd. ‘I was wondering, do I just move the show from Vegas to Broadway and win the Tony? I actually prefer the sound of an EGO than an EGOT. EGO is fun.

‘But never say never. If I move to New York, I get bored, I’ll be on that stage in a hot second.’
Adele added: ‘I actually know Bette Midler which is a big flex, right? Because she’s one of my idols.
‘She was like, “You would never be able to keep up with the schedule on Broadway.” Because I’m so lazy. I’m so notoriously lazy.
‘I would not be able to do matinees and all that. I don’t have the stamina for that.’
