I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2022 star Scarlette Douglas might have an interesting reaction to Matt Hancock entering the camp, after she appeared to post scathing tweets about the politician.

After ITV announced the first 10 celebrities who would be stepping into the jungle – including royal Mike Tindall, singer Boy George and Love Island star Olivia Attwood – it emerged that former Health Secretary Mr Hancock had also signed up to join the cast.

It’s been reported that he could earn a paycheck of £400,000 despite the backlash to him being in the line-up, with one of the show’s bosses recently speaking out to defend the signing.

Fans are likely wondering what the camp dynamic will be like when Mr Hancock arrives, and who he may butt heads with.

However, it appears that A Place In The Sun presenter Scarlette has already expressed her dislike of the MP in the past.

Since it was posted, the video has been viewed on Twitter almost six million times (Picture: Twitter)

On Jun 26 2021, Mr Hancock posted a video on Twitter announcing that he was resigning as Health Secretary, shortly after CCTV footage was released showing him kissing his married aide Gina Coladangelo while social distancing measures were still in place.

His video was shared on Twitter at 6.16pm… and at 6.32pm that same day, Scarlette tweeted: ‘Good, get out of here.’

While she didn’t mention the politician by name, the timing of her tweet and subsequent responses to other people’s remarks appear to insinuate she was referring to his resignation.

After one Twitter user responded: ‘He’ll be looking for a place in the sun now,’ she replied: ‘As long as I’m not his presenter!’

Meanwhile, another individual wrote: ‘Shouldn’t have been given the chance to resign… should have been sacked!’ to which Scarlette added: ‘Agreed.’

Ahead of the start of the programme, the Worst House on the Street presenter said throughout her life, she’s always found that people have ‘doubted’ her.

‘This programme is always something I have wanted to do as I like to test myself. It’s the cherry on the icing on the cake,’ she said.

I’m A Celebrity 2022 launches on Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
