Kanye West has shared his first post on Twitter after being locked out of the platform last month following alleged anti-Semitic posts.

The rapper, 45, had been locked out of Twitter and Instagram last month after sharing posts which  violated the platforms’ policies.

His Twitter account was reinstated at the end of the month, however Kanye hadn’t used it to post anything since October 9.

He returned with his first post-ban post on November 3, sharing a photo of NBA basketball player Kyrie Irving with no caption attached.

The Brooklyn Nets star had also recently faced backlash for sharing a post about an anti-Semitic film, releasing a statement saying he opposes all forms of hate and that he and the club would each donate $500,000 (£438,000) towards relevant groups to stop oppression.

Kyrie said in a joint statement with the Nets and the Anti-Defamation League: ‘I oppose all forms of hatred and oppression and stand strong with communities that are marginalised and impacted every day.

‘I am aware of the negative impact of my post towards the Jewish community and I take responsibility.’

Fans were quick to like and respond to the tweet, and share their thoughts on Kanye’s return to the platform.

They wrote: ‘uh oh they done let ye back on twitter’, ‘Ye is back, again!’ and ‘Please remain on your best behaviour this time’.

Elon Musk, 51, who recently bought Twitter, previously revealed that the reinstatement of Kanye’s account had nothing to do with him

After his takeover,  Elon tweeted that people who have been banned from the social media site will not be reinstated until a review by a ‘content moderation council.’

When a fan then asked why Kanye’s account had been restored if that was the case, Elon responded: ‘Ye’s account was restored by Twitter before the acquisition. They did not consult with or inform me.’

Kanye’s alleged anti-Semitic comments caused huge backlash from fans and the Donda star was also dropped by several brands he worked with, including Adidas and Balenciaga, costing him his billionaire status.

Top talent agency CAA also cut ties with the rapper and his wax figurine was even removed from Madame Tussaud’s in the wake of the controversy.
