A streamer has been deemed to have violated Twitch’s sexual content guidelines by sitting on a cupcake.
American streamer Raquel seems to be following in the footsteps of Amouranth and has managed to get over 65,000 followers on her Twitch channel for her hot tub streams – though she’s also a musician.
The platform is quite lenient when it comes to these steamy streams and since last year has dedicated a whole category to this type of content. Many streamers have even accused Twitch of showing preferential treatment to this type of content, as it often goes viral.
That’s not far from the truth, but every now and then, creators find a way to cross the platform’s blurry guidelines and get themselves banned.
Not long ago, a streamer named Kimmikka was banned for getting down to business with her boyfriend in front of thousands of viewers.
However, sometimes the platform’s bans are uncalled for, like in Kyootboot’s case when she got penalised for leaving a ‘spicy’ link in her bio – spicy as in food.
Raquel didn’t do anything as explicit as the first streamer, though, she simply squished a cupcake with her bottom to wish one of her viewers a happy birthday.
On my way! Give me 3 days. It’s when my ban is lifted bb

If anything, she deserved the ban more for eating the cupcake after she was done stamping on it.
Raquel shared that the email she received from Twitch stated that she was banned for ‘sexually suggestive conduct.’
As the platform rarely gets more specific than this when handing out bans, the streamer suggested that it was due to the ‘cake on cake’ moment in her stream.
Luckily, she won’t be gone for long, as her ban will only last for three days, so it’s not that bad.

Later Raquel implied that she purposefully tried to go viral to promote her new single, which is ironically about being an e-girl and Twitch ‘not getting’ the joke.
‘When the satire is good, you get banned,’ she posted on Twitter.
One follower agreed that this was one of ‘the best bits of satire’ he’s seen in a long time, and another appeared to be upset he missed her stream.
This has all the makings of a new trend, if other streamers start to copy Raquel, which if nothing else seems a terrible waste of baked goods.
