It’s the mash-up we’ve always needed, for one night only The Masked Singer UK will have an I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! theme.

To mark the launch of ITV’s juggernaut series, which controversially counts Matt Hancock among the line-up, the singing competition programme will get a jungle makeover.

While the contestants on The Masked Singer will not have to face a Bushtucker Trial, they will be dressed head to toe in extravagant and utterly bonkers outfits with a twist.

The judges Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan awill ttempt to guess who could be masquerading in costumes which include, Kangaroo, Witchetty Grub, Cockroach, Koala.

Meanwhile, in a shake-up of the original format, presenter Joel Dommett will be put through his paces, where instead of earning food for camp, he’ll be tasked with hunting down those all-important mind-bending clues for the panel.

The TV  extravaganza celebrates I’m A Celeb returning to Australia for the first time in two years after taking place in Wales due to the pandemic.

As well as the disgraced health secretary, who has been bashed for signing up and suspended from the Tory party, other famous faces heading down under include Love Island’s Olivia Attwood and Boy George.

They will be camping under the stars with the likes of Lioness Jill Scott, royal Mike Tindall, Loose Women’s Charlene White and radio DJ Chris Moyles.

One campmate has reportedly already struggled with the first task, which traditionally takes place after the celebs meet each other for the first time.

Reports suggest comedian  Babatunde Aléshé was so scared of a plank challenge that he couldn’t complete it, after trying to get his head around it for 45 minutes.

The stars had been tasked with walking out on a plank suspended at a great height over a 32-storey building, with a view of the Gold Coast.

But Babatunde may want to brace himself for what could be the most gruesome Bushtucker trial ever, which will be inspired by Netflix’s Squid Game.

While the exact nature of the challenge has been kept under wraps, the campmates will reportedly wear the dystopian drama’s iconic green suits.
