Graham Norton did not hold back from sharing what he truly thinks about Matt Hancock’s upcoming appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The former health secretary is heading into the jungle for some pretty gruesome bushtucker trials.
He’ll be joining the likes of Boy George, Mike Tindall and Love Island’s Olivia Attwood.
The nation collectively dropped its jaw when Hancock was announced as a latecomer on this year’s I’m A Celeb and has faced monumental backlash for the decision.
Opening Friday’s episode of The Graham Norton Show, the host began: ‘We’ve got a great show for you tonight – I couldn’t be more excited than if I was a maggot about to crawl into Matt Hancock’s ear.’
Next to a picture of Hancock, he continued: ‘There he is arriving in Australia – has Hancock forgotten he’s got a job as an MP?

‘I mean, I suppose it’s possible, I mean for months, he had forgotten he was married.’
The cheeky comments were in reference to Hancock’s very public affair, when leaked CCTV showed him kissing his aide Gina Coladangelo in breach of the social distancing guidelines he helped create.
Norton savagely added: ‘This here is the endless jungle that Matt Hancock will be staying in; dense and incredibly thick… just two of the things producers have called him.

‘Personally, I think I speak for the nation when I say, “Matt Hancock should be given the sack, and when he’s finished eating that, the testicles and penis.”‘
Norton certainly hasn’t been the only one to take a swipe at Hancock over the decision, as he joined the likes of Piers Morgan, Ulrika Jonsson and Made In Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo.
Appearing on This Morning yesterday, Toffolo, who won the jungle competition back in 2017, fumed that Hancock’s decision was ‘disgraceful’.

Referring to Penny Mordaunt’s widely mocked stint on ITV’s short-lived reality series Splash!, she continued: ‘Penny Mordaunt went and did Splash! all those years ago in 2014 and she donated all of her fee to the local lido and saved the lido. Brilliant.
‘What Matt is doing is really showing to the country that [as] the man who was meant to be in control of our health going through this pandemic, not only did he cheat on his wife and get caught, he’s now leaving his constituents to go to Australia to earn loads of money on the show.’

She said Hancock was ‘flaunting it in front of people that lost so many loved ones and went through the most horrific pain’.
‘I’ve never been more embarrassed about the Conservative party ever,’ Georgia concluded.
