WWE superstar Bray Wyatt promised to ‘rewrite’ his own ending before Uncle Howdy interrupted with another sinister warning.
The former Firefly Fun House host made an impression as he appeared at Crown Jewel, with the crowd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia showering love and praise down on him as he once again appeared to break character.
Wyatt – whose real name is Windham Rotunda – addressed his genuine family history in wrestling, following in the footsteps of his grandfather Blackjack Mulligan, dad Mike Rotunda, and uncles Barry and Kendall Windham.
He spoke of the pressure to live up to the dynasty, and how it drove him to become The Fiend as he tried to do anything he could to become the best his family has seen.
The crowd voiced their support for Bray, chanting ‘Yes you are’, and ‘We love you’, but the former world champion insisted he doesn’t even love himself.
He added: ‘This doesn’t have to be the ending of my story. That is not the man I want to be remembered as. My name is Bray Wyatt and I am here to re-write the ending to my story!’
However, Wyatt was once again interrupted by a freaky and spooky video on the big screen, with some terrifying imagery and a word of warning from Uncle Howdy.
The enigmatic man – whose identity remains a mystery – insisting he knows Bray better than anyone, which suggests he could even be his own brother Bo Dallas making his own return to the company.
He said: ‘If you’re worried about the aftermath then hurt them, just don’t take the mask off.’
Wyatt has been building up plenty of anticipation and intrigue since his sensational comeback at Extreme Rules, and fans are still waiting to find out where things go from here.
The emergence of Uncle Howdy continues to put an interesting slant on things, and it will be fascinating to watch it unfold.
