Newsround presenter Jenny Lawrence delivered a masterclass in styling out an on-air mishap after accidentally throwing her script into the air on Monday.
The broadcaster was wrapping up the morning episode of the children’s news show when disaster struck, and she sent her papers into the air before attempting to grab them.
‘That’s it from me this morning… and my script!’ Lawrence announced after hurling her script across the studio.
Soldiering on with her sign off, she continued: ‘Have a great day. Head online for loads more, including Stormzy’s plan to help diversity in football. Take care.’
Lawrence then playfully added: ‘I’m off to get my script now! Bye!’

Making light of the funny moment, she later shared the blunder on social media, where she jokingly captioned the video: ‘Didn’t like my scripts anyway 😅
And it’s fair to say that viewers were thoroughly entertained by the blunder and full of praise for Jenny’s ability to style it out.
‘We love those unscripted moments!’ wrote one, while another said: ‘This has provided me so many laughs today, brilliant save Jenny!’
Of course, accidental mishaps and live television often go hand in hand.
Last month, ITV News’ political editor Robert Peston made a slip of the tongue while trying to say Jeremy Hunt’s name, accidentally substituting his surname for an expletive.

And the BBC also suffered a blunder when it accidentally used a graphic that described Rishi Sunak as a ‘c**t’ when it was announced he would become PM after Liz Truss’ disastrous leadership.
