I ordered Shein’s knee-high boots but there was a huge issue – people keep blaming me
A CONTENT creator got a lot less than what she bargained for when she received Shein boots in the mail.
Akira, who goes by the TikTok handle @itss__akiraaa, ordered trendy Shein over-the-knee boots, but found a major fault with them, which people actually blamed on her.
Akira held up a pair of Shein boots that looked fine but had a major issue with themTikTok
She showed the product’s website picture and the overwhelmingly positive reviewsTikTok
“Shein count your days,” Akira wrote over a TikTok video of her holding up a bright red stiletto boot. The fabric and shape had a trendy snug sock-fit to them.
“These may look like great boots, or if you can already tell what’s wrong with them, then you know,” she said as she turned the boot around to show different angles.
Then the video transitioned to Akira trying on the boots.
“Wtf am I supposed to do with these!!” she wrote, adding crying and chili emojis.
Although Akira seemed to be standing normally, the majority of her weight was naturally placed on her heels, as if she was rocking back on them.
The heels were angled rather than vertical to the ground. The balls of Akira’s feet and the pointed toes were also slanted upwards, completely off the ground.
She began dramatically mimicking a tap dance routine to show how ridiculous the boots looked on her.
“I guess you really get what you pay for,” she wrote in the caption.

DRY RUN
I tried the viral Lakeland drying pod – it cost 30p an hour & made my room warm too
YOU GLOW GIRL
I’m a cougar in my 40s & people tell me not to wear a bikini – I don’t care
STEP UP
I’m trolled for my staircase transformation but manage to keep it clean just fine
POUT & ABOUT
I went from 0ml to 31ml in lip filler – people stare & point, but I don’t care
Top flop
I bought the viral Primark crop top and have no idea what the fuss is about
IN FOR A POUND
I worked at Poundland & customers used to constantly say the same rude thing
“That’s them chili peppa steppas,” one person commented, while another added: “IM SCREAMING!! Not the shiver me timbers boots.”
People also likened them to a futuristic Balenciaga shoe and like they would be appropriate to wear in the North Pole.
Akira made a follow-up video responding to a comment that said: “Lean forward a lil bit.”
She filmed herself putting all of her weight onto the balls of her feet. But the heels of the boots lifted over an inch off the ground.
“The heel will be FLOATING,” Akira wrote.
The balls of Akira’s feet were off the ground in this poorly constructed boot shapeTikTok
When she put her weight forward, it showed that the heels were too shortTikTok
“I’m HOLLERIN!!!!” someone commented, adding: “They mis-measured the heel height. Girl I’m sorry about the boots, but sis needed this laugh!!!!”
“I have the same pair, but mine are normal and very pretty,” another wrote, though.
Responding to a comment that read: “Girl I need to see what was advertised and possibly the other reviews,” Akira made another video for people to believe that they were made incorrectly.
She showed a screenshot of the product picture and description: $45 Side Zipper Over The Knee Boots with normal-looking heels.
The product had over 500 positive five-star reviews, which Akira also scrolled through.
“Now see, look at the reviews. That’s why I bought them. Everybody got a full heel but me,” Akira said, showing that she didn’t misjudge what the product looked like, but that it was actually an error Shein made.
But some people still didn’t believe Akira and even blamed her.
“No the advertisement definitely shows a short heel,” one person wrote, while another agreed: “I mean you definitely got what it shows.”
So Akira made yet another video, responding to those comments.
Laying the boot flat on the ground so that the sole was horizontal with the camera, the heel was very clearly dramatically shorter and not in line with the sole as it should be.
“Be for real. Please, be for real,” she pleaded.
People started to believe just how poorly the shoe was constructed.
“The more I look at them the funnier they are! Noooo,” one wrote, and another added: “IM CRYINNNG THIS ANGLE IS KILLING ME.”
In a separate video, Akira wrote: “When I bought a bad pair of shoes from Shein and now I wake up to hundreds of people saying I deserve it and they don’t feel bad for me.”
She pretended to cry before laughing it off and breaking out in another dance wearing the boots.
“It was a funny experience. Lets just leave it at that,” she captioned the video.

BREADY FOR IT
I made Bella Hadid’s viral sandwich – a major thing was missing
“The amount of people trying to make it your fault was wild for real,” someone commented.
Another wrote: “DESERVE IT? C’mon man! But, TBH personally I’m glad it happened cos I haven’t laughed liked this…girl, my damn nose is running, tears, can’t breathe.”
Akira received hate from people, but she’s laughed off the shopping failTikTok
