Lindsay Lohan paid tribute to her ex-boyfriend Aaron Carter, two days after he tragically died aged 34.
The Parent Trap actress dated the younger brother of Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter during her young Hollywood years.
Causing a stir in the early 2000s, the romantic entanglement was speculated to overlap with the famous on and off again relationship Carter shared with co-star Hilary Duff.
Speaking during a press tour for her upcoming Christmas flick, Falling for Christmas, Lindsay said: ‘My heart goes out to his family and may he rest in peace.’
‘God bless him,’ she added to Entertainment Tonight, explaining there is ‘a lot of love there.’
Lindsay went on to add it had been a ‘long time’ since the pair had spoken, as she shared that she had tons of memories with Carter from when she was younger, when speaking to Access Hollywood.

Fellow Disney actress, Hilary earlier shared her heartbreak at the news of Carter’s death.
The Lizzie Maguire star posted a black square with heartfelt words addressed to the singer: ‘I am deeply sorry that life was so hard and that you had to struggle in front of the whole world.
‘You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent.”
‘Boy, did my teenage self love you deeply. Sending love to your family at this time. Rest easy.’
Carter was found dead in his Lancaster, California home on Saturday after the local sheriff’s department responded to a call for help.
